Have you ever created a vision board? How about a vision board for your finances?

Building a vision board forces you to be realistic on what you want to accomplish. One image may not do so, but everything you’ll eventually want and need will require the amalgamation of many images. A vision board offers you the boost of continually seeing the best possible outcome. It will remind you of the result you are working for by putting your vision board in a location where you see will always see it.

Our vision board should highlight our life values. We’re spending money on stuff that makes us happy. To make other people happy, we spend money. To strive to live the lifestyle we dream of living, what kind of funds do we need to raise? To fund the lifestyle we want, some of us need more cash every month/ year. For others, to support the lifestyle we want, some of us may not need as much money. We’re all different and the personal financial planning that we create should reflect who we are.

What is a Financial Vision Board and how does it work?

Words, phrases, quotations, sketches and pictures that you put on a vision board reflects your expectations and objectives. In it, you create a visual image of your objectives. The process of looking at it regularly becomes your motivation. When you put your mind to it, you’re able to see how much you can do. When you are frustrated, your vision board is a welcome reminder of why you chose these goals in the first place.

Basically, in a nutshell, you create a digital (or actual) poster or bulletin board using pictures and words of circumstances or physical items that you want to manifest. The point is to think about the objectives you want to concentrate on and include them on your board. The main thing to note is that a vision board for money is a tool to help you reach better personal money management. In and by itself, it’s not achieving the purpose. The formation of the board is only the first step.

How does a Financial Vision Board help you achieve your goals?

It forces you to be realistic on what you want to accomplish by building a vision board. One image may not do it but all the elements you are working for would require an amalgamation of many images. Having taken the degree of detail into account makes your purpose more concrete, rather than a just a dream to which you might or might not one day get around to achieving.

A vision board offers you the boost of continuously seeing the best possible outcome. Placing your vision board in a position where you can see it will remind you of the result you are working towards. It’s pretty clear with the psychology of how it works, but many people who use vision boards believe that they transcend science and are magical.

It doesn’t mean you’re creating magical solutions to your money woes. It’s surrounding yourself with intentions and motivation so that it feels like your life is magical when you accomplish your objectives. This is a subtle but noticeable difference.

What should you put on your Financial Vision Board?

If it’s something you’re saving to do or just want to do in the future, put in on the vision board. And don’t restrict it to just one thing, think of anything and everything! Dream big!

To inspire you to save, you might have photographs of your dream home, images of your perfect holiday, a renovation project that you’ve always wanted to do, your dream vehicle or maybe a fantasy wedding.

You can also set non-material targets, such as “work less or “spend more time with my family.” Whatever you put down, make sure it’s stuff you want to accomplish. This way to get to work on your objectives, your board will always get you motivated.

Facts and figures

Today, some individuals like to work out statistics and figures to add to their board of financial vision to illustrate how much each goal would cost so that they can work to reach these objectives. If you are inspired by that, then that is amazing! Stick them on there! But do note, keeping you fired up and on track to tuck away the money you need to fulfil your goals is the primary objective of the financial vision board.

If you feel anything less than fired up when looking at a huge number all year round, balance them out! Instead, before you get started, have those numbers in your head as rough estimates. If you have saved a decent chunk, then begin to work towards a real number.

Change it up if you need to

If you discover that some imagery or motivational quotes just don’t work for you, feel free to do some adjustments. Or better still, after you have accomplished any of the milestones listed on your vision board, take the opportunity to creatively celebrate with congratulatory images or even a new picture to reflect new goals.

Know, as you walk the often bumpy path to financial wellness, a financial vision board is a fun and imaginative way to keep you focused. There’s no obligation to make things perfect because the board is special to you and there’s no shame in fixing what’s not working for you.

How to use your financial vision board?

Try keeping your vision board next to your bed on the nightstand. Leave it in an open place as much as you are comfortable with it and spend time visualizing, affirming, believing, and internalizing your objectives each morning and evening.

Particularly powerful is the time you spend envisioning in the evening just before bed. The thoughts and images present in your mind during the last forty-five minutes before going to sleep are the ones that will constantly replay themselves during the night in your subconscious mind, and the thoughts and images you start with every day will help you build a vibrational fit for the future you want.

Look at those pictures that reflect your successes, and appreciate how well the Law of Attraction works in your life, as time passes, and your dreams begin to manifest. Recognize that it is working. Do not delete the photos or images that reflect the objectives you have already accomplished. Effective visual reminders of what you have already deliberately and purposefully drawn into your life are the fulfilment of the priorities of your vision board.

Creating a new inspiration board every year is a smart idea. Your dreams will, too as you continue to grow, develop and expand. Your vision board is supposed to be retained and loved. Not only do they chronicle your aspirations, but your progress and accomplishments.
