Effective 15th March 2017, all Maybank 2 American Express Gold and Platinum Card members will be entitled to 5% weekend cashback & 5X TreatsPoints on all spending including Petrol.

Effective 15th March 2017, all Maybank 2 American Express Gold and Platinum Card members will be entitled to these benefits:

  • 5% Weekend Cash Back (capped at RM50 per month or equivalent RM1,000 spending a month) AND
  • 5x TreatsPoints on all spend (including for petrol transactions below RM500)

 

TreatsPoints Average Conversion Rate (For vouchers etc)

  • 400 points = RM1 (RM0.0025 per pt)
  • 5x TP = 1.25% cashback

 

Other Changes

  • Effective April 1, 2017 finance charges will be as low as 15% (replacing current 8.88%)

FAQ

Q: If I pump petrol on weekends will I get both 5X TP & weekend cashback?

A: Yes, up to the limits for both. For petrol, spending above RM500 will be given 1x TreatsPoints.

Q: Does the weekend cashback apply to all categories?

A: We believe yes  we are awaiting detailed T&C for any exclusion categories.
